Committed, enthusiastic volunteers make it possible for us to provide the best experience possible for students at Exchange City, EarthWorks and our summer camps.
Nearly 4,600 program volunteers participate in a our programs each academic year. Many of these are parents, but we welcome and encourage interested community members as well.

Animal Care
Love animals? EarthWorks activities rely on a healthy variety of plains wildlife, including rabbits, fish (etc). We need volunteers who are willing to come in once a week to help provide care for our animals.
Animal Care Workers must like animals and be comfortable handling them. They must be willing to make a weekly commitment, be 16 years of age or older and have their own transportation.
Office/Administration Volunteer
We operate two large facilities and there is always a need for people to help make things run smoothly. Whether you can make a weekly commitment (receptionist each Tuesday) or have a few hours to spare, we’d love to hook you up with an opportunity to help kids!. Tasks can range from data entry, to help with marketing & sales, to replenishing student supplies, to making copies of activity sheets.
Program Volunteer
Want to help facilitate a day at Exchange City or EarthWorks? All Program Volunteers must attend formal training session. Come experience the fun!
Summer Camp Aides
Volunteer your time by being a Summer Camp Aide. Volunteers work directly with students, assist with program activities and supervise small groups. A training prepares you to be an integral part of the student experience. Summer Camp Aides must be 18 years of age or older and be willing to work 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. during at least one of the three weeks of camp.
