 Animals bring EarthWorks to life!
EarthWorks is home to 117 animals. Every year these animals make science come alive for 15,000 students.
To give these young people an authentic experience, EarthWorks habitats are inhabited by butterflies, rabbits, frogs and snakes. Plus others that can be found in Midwestern soil, ponds, forests, caves and prairie habitats.
We need your help to provide food, vitamins, bedding, heating, lighting and veterinary needs for our animals.
- To keep the rabbits' cages clean and comfortable costs over $100 a year.
- Frogs croak, “ribbit” and eat flies to the tune of $250 a year.
- It costs $2,500 a year to keep the Butterfly Room afloat with butterflies.
In return for your donation, we’ll put a notice of appreciation containing your name on the animal’s cage. And you will receive a Certificate of Appreciation that includes a picture of your animal and an interesting fact sheet.
