Description & Responsibilities:
Exchange City and EarthWorks programs are currently seeking dynamic individuals interested in teaching a wide age range of children in these state-of-the-art informal education venues. Exchange City is an economics-based program for 4th-8th grade students and EarthWorks is a science-based program for 3rd-5th grade students. Program Staff prepares for and provides quality instruction and facilitation to student participants attending the Exchange City and EarthWorks experiential learning venues. Program Staff is needed for weekday, Tuesday evening and occasional Saturday scheduling. Applicants must demonstrate the ability to adapt to teaching both programs, multi-task in a high energy educational environment and work collaboratively in a team-based work setting. This position is on an on-call or pre-scheduled basis.
Qualifications:
Sixty hours college coursework required. Bachelor degree in Education or related field preferred. Experience working with children or in an education related field required. Hours: Part-time, on-call/pre-scheduled basis. Salary: $12 per hour. Daily schedule: 7 hour day plus scheduled Tuesday evenings (3 hours) and occasional Saturdays (4 hours). Description:
Exchange City & EarthWorks - Kansas City are seeking 10 dynamic high school and college-age students interested in assisting with our three summer CuriosityCamps. Summer Camp Program Assistants will help facilitate the day camp experience for over 300 school age kids, ages 9-13.
Qualifications:
Must be 16 years of age or older. Interest in working with children is a must!!! Experience a plus.
Daily Schedule and pay:
Summer program staff will supervise children in daily camp activities and help facilitate active learning at Exchange City and EarthWorks CuriosityCamps. Summer commitment includes the following dates: weekdays June 5-16, June 19-30, and July 11-22 for training, prep, camp, and cleanup. Hours are Monday-Friday from 8:00 AM- 5:00 PM at $9.00 per hour. Summer staff training included.
