- Can my child sign up with friends?
We welcome the opportunity for friends to come to CuriosityCamp. It is also not a problem if your child signs up alone, he/she will be given many opportunities to meet and make new friends during camp. This a week long experience where friendships and memories are made for a lifetime.
- Are there any special promotions available for my family?
A 10% multi-family discount is offered for siblings who attend the same CuriosityCamp. Families that enroll in more than one CuriosityCamp are also given a 10% discount.
- Is financial assistance available?
A sliding scale for financial assistance is offered based on earned income levels. In order to qualify for financial assistance, appropriate documentation of earnings is required.
- How is the camp different from the traditional school year program?
Each CuriosityCamp is independent of the traditional school year program. Although the camps offer the same experiential, inquiry-based learning format, each camp is specifically designed around a unique theme that allows the experience to unfold the entire week of the camp.
- How can parents get involved during camp?
Each week-long camp session will conclude with an afternoon open house on Friday that will showcase the learning of each child throughout the week's activities. This is an opportunity for parents, grandparents and other family members to see what our 'citizen' and 'scientist' campers at Exchange City & EarthWorks have done at camp and learn about our programs.
- What does my child need to bring?
On each day of camp, your child needs to bring a lunch. A mid-morning snack is provided, Be sure that your child is dressed appropriately for active learning.
- Is transportation provided?
Transportation is provided by special arrangement for only Summer METS participating schools. This funding is made possible by the Kauffman Foundation.
